Frölunda started the semi-finals at a furious pace, creating several goal chances that should have given the home team the lead. But instead, it was the Luleå fan who would get cheer in the first period.

First, Einar Emanuelsson made an impressive performance when he managed to dribble away a defender from a kneeling position and then sat 1-0. And just over three minutes later, 2-0 also came to Luleå when Daniel Sondell in game five against three sent away the puck from the blue.

The second period would prove to be the opposite of the first. Luleå took advantage of the fact that it was far to the bench, and created enormous disarray in Frölunda's zone. However, despite 18 shots on goal for the visitors, the double became a home goal, and the match was perfectly even before the closing period.

But Luleå would receive dividends in the end. With just over six minutes remaining, there was a messy situation around Frölunda's goal, and after Johan Mattsson became lying down, Jack Connolly managed to get the 3-2 goal, which also became the final of the match.
