Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola expects German international Leroy Sani to return next month.

In comments published by the club's website, Guardiola said, "His knee looks fine and it won't take long for him to return to training again, I think in the coming weeks."

Sani, who will be 24 years old next Saturday, suffered a rupture in the cruciate ligament in his right knee in August last year.

Guardiola said that he had spoken to Sani a few days ago, "He told me that he is training alone with the ball and he feels incredibly good."

Sani, who plays in the wing position with Manchester, continues until the end of June 2021.

There has long been speculation about Sani's move to Bayern Munich.

In response to a question about whether the transfer of Sani to Bayern during the winter transfer period is not excluded, the answer of Hassan Saleh Hamidic, the ball director of the Bavarian team, was not specified.
