On Sunday, Malmö FF invited to a press conference to present his new coach. Jon Dahl Tomasson has since 2016 been Åge Hareide's closest man in the leadership of the Danish national football team.
- I'm super proud to be in Malmö, the team has a great ambition which I like. "I like their thoughts and how to develop players," he said during the press conference.
When asked how Dahl Tomasson sees himself as a coach, he replied that he was careful to listen to his surroundings.
- I am clear as a leader and listen to the surroundings.
Jon Dahl Tomasson has earlier in his coaching career also been assistant to Dutch Vitesse and coach for Roda and Excelsior. He officially starts his role as coach for Malmö FF on January 10.
