Ryuyu Kobayashi retreats to 14th overall in the Ski Jump World Cup Jan. 5 1:53 on January 5

Rinyu Kobayashi, who is aiming for two consecutive victories in the “Jump Week” during the New Year's holiday, held in Austria on the 4th of the Ski Jump Men's World Cup, won 14th place without increasing the distance.

The tournament was held in Innsbruck, Austria, for the third round of the traditional “Jump Week”, which competes in four games during the year-end and New Year holidays.

The first week of the Jump Week World Cup consists of 50 players competing against each other, with 25 winners and the top five losers going to the second.

Kobayashi, who is aiming for the second consecutive victory in Jump Week, took 13th place at 122m for the first time, and fell one place without increasing his flight distance to 120m for the second time, finishing 14th with a total of 229.8 points.

Kobayashi missed the first place in the tenth World Cup this season, and his overall ranking for Jump Week dropped from fourth to fourth.

Other Japanese players are Daiki Ito in 18th place, Kobayashi's older brother Junshiro Kobayashi in 22nd place, Naoki Nakamura in 28th place, Keiichi Sato in 29th place and Tsuyoshi Takeuchi in 30th place, Sachiko Sato did not advance to the second round and was in 46th place.

Norway's 21-year-old Marius Limvik flew 133 metres for the first time and 120 metres 50 for the second time, winning a total of 253.3 for the second consecutive World Cup.
