Maitha Bint Mohammed leads "Ghantoot Yas" to win the Sultan Bin Zayed Cup polo

Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led the Ghantoot Yas team to win the title of the first festival for the Sultan bin Zayed Polo Cup. The coronation of the Ghantoot Yas team came by defeating the Ghantoot "Maserati" team 4/6, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Aref Al Awani, and a number Officials, athletes, and representatives of contributors, participation and sponsors.

At the end of the celebration, which coincided with the celebrations of the Ghantoot Club with its silver jubilee, and the passage of 25 years since the establishment of the club, Sheikh Sultan bin Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the CEO of Ghantoot Club, Zayed Khalifa Al Zaabi, Honoring the sponsors and those who have contributed to supporting the club’s march since its foundation, especially the Emirates Heritage Club.

The honoring included: the General Authority for Sports, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Abu Dhabi Police, the Emirates Polo Association, Etisalat, Dubai Media, the Free Skydiving Team in the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Interior, Bin Ham Travel, and "Ward Ball", along with match officials and teams.

The Ghantoot Yas team won the Golden Festival Cup, and all the members of the team, led by Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received the shield of loyalty, in the presence of a number of departments and centers managers, and heads of departments at Emirates Heritage Club.

At the end of the festival, tickets for tickets were traveled alongside the valuable cash prizes, amid great joy among the participating attendees at the Al-Wafa Festival for the People of Giving.

Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “The Ghantoot Club, headed by His Highness Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, succeeded in producing the Al-Wafa Festival for the People of Giving, which received a wide response in a wonderful organizational dress that everyone deserved congratulations and thanks.”

She emphasized that "the beginning through the Al-Wafa Festival, which witnessed the new Sultan bin Zayed Stadium, is a very promising activity for the continuation of the activity of Ghantoot Polo Club, which is witnessing many upcoming tournaments, especially the Presidential Cup championship, which is gaining special importance."

Her Highness stated that "the exhibition match that brought together the teams of Ghantoot Yas and (Maserati) was equal, which confirms the gradual increase of the technical level during the upcoming tournaments, which contributes to the high level of the game that witnessed advanced levels in the recent period."

The establishment of the festival coincided with the celebration of the Ghantoot Club, its silver jubilee, and its 25th anniversary.

Ghantoot Club organized the first edition of the Sultan Bin Zayed Polo Festival.
