The Jordanian and Iraqi football federations have revealed their intention to submit a joint file to host the 2027 Asian Cup, according to what we announced on Monday.

In his Twitter account, the Jordan Football Association tweeted, "Hosting the Asian Cup is a great pride for the Jordanian and Iraqi football federations. We are studying and looking forward to working and cooperating with the brothers in Iraq to present a joint file that guarantees the organization and hosting of the 2027 edition of the continental championship."

On the Iraqi side, local media quoted the head of the local federation, Abdul Khaleq Masoud, as confirming that an agreement had been reached between the Iraqi and Jordanian federations to submit a joint file to request the hosting of the continental championship that was held early this year in the UAE, with the 2023 version to be in China.

And Iraq had previously hosted the West Asian Championship in the cities of Karbala and Erbil, and reached its final match before losing to Bahrain.
