With two points up to Linköping over the qualifier, Oskarshamn had the chance to step up to safe ground at three points. But it looked dark when Linköping late in the second period through Olle Lycksell could make 2-1.

But in the third period, the home team switched up several gears, and bombed in real time against Jonas Gustavsson in the LHC goal. 16-2 in shots, and in the end Gustavsson could not hold back anymore. With a chance in powerplay at the end of the period, Oskarshamn took out the goalkeeper, and in game six against four, Joakim Thelin managed to get to 2-2.

The match went to extension, where it was offered in plenty of chances. But two stable goalkeepers stood in the way, and the match went to penalties. There it was Johan Johnsson, on loan from HV71, who decided on his first goal for Oskarshamn.
