Expressens Klara Svensson, who recently completed a successful boxing career, interviewed Stenmark last fall and today the extensive interview was published. He has the record in the number of alpine world cup victories with 86, won two Olympic golds in 1980, three world championships gold and has been awarded the gold medal.

There is probably no sports person in Sweden who has been so popular.

He does not spend time with so many people outside the family. Ingemar mentions Tomas Brolin and JO Waldner on the question of friends and describes himself as a lone wolf who likes to be himself.

An ordinary day at home in Vaxholm starts with Ingemar getting up and making breakfast for the family before he pushes the youngest daughter Iza to school.

He trains at least every other day, especially cycling interspersed with running. No common bicycle group interests him, as he prefers to train himself.

What are you most proud of?

- Everyone wins the World Cup and that there was a change in the rules because of me.

One of SVT's most successful clips is when Ingemar jumps up for a wall in the Master's Championship, where he calls his efforts decent (won the competition) and that he may, somewhat surprisingly, describe himself as a training product.

I don't know if you would call your jumping jump for decent?

- Yes, but for my age maybe, but if you look up those who are the best at it then it's another thing.

Ingemar was a radar couple with Stig Strand from the hometown of Tärnaby but got much better.

Why did you get better than Stig?

- We were pretty even, then I started to leave him a bit. He liked the fun of life, haha, he played football and did other things while I was running and just exercising, especially during the summer.

Stenmark was surprised to participate in Let's Dance 2015, which he also of course won. So why did he line up?

- Let's dance was a utopia for me.

Why?

- Well, because people always think that I should be able to do things when it comes to sports, but I've never done dance. Here I had to do something completely different.
