With tens of thousands of tweets, the "We are with you Ozil" label has risen to the global trend in support of the German star of Turkish origin, Masoud Ozil, the Arsenal striker, who criticized the silence of the Islamic world on the violations committed by China against the Uighurs Muslims in the Shenyang region.

Twitter saw a major support campaign for the German star, and the pioneers of the "Blue Bird" raised the mark to third in the global trend and then fell to fifth.

"The Islamic world is mired in silence, at a time when the Western media is highlighting violations in East Turkestan," the Muslim player said.

Ozil condemned - in a statement posted on his official accounts on the media - that China was pressuring the forced removal of Uighur Muslims from their religion.

"In East Turkestan, the Koran is burned, mosques are closed, schools are forbidden, and religious scholars are killed one by one, and the male brothers are forcibly taken to camps."

In response to this situation, Chinese state television canceled a direct transfer of the Arsenal and Manchester City match a few days ago.

The British company "NetEase", which exports the Chinese version of an electronic game, also wiped out three copies of the game.

The company said that "Ozil will be removed from three versions of the game because of the extremist statement that the player posted on social media," and noted that Ozil's words "hurt the feelings of the Chinese fans and violated the sportsmanship," adding that she did not understand, accept or condone these actions, As she put it.

In August 2018, a UN human rights committee reported that China is holding about a million Uighurs Muslims in secret camps in East Turkistan.

According to official statistics, there are 30 million Muslims in China, including 23 million Uighurs, while unofficial reports estimate the number of Muslims at nearly 100 million, or about 9.5% of the population.
