In Sunday's mass start in the biathlon World Cup, in French Annecy, the 25 best in the total will start, and five the best from previous competitions the same weekend in the resort.

Sebastian Samuelsson went out early in the sprint, starting number six.

He fired two beams, on a total of two shootings. One in landscape, and one in portrait. The speed in the track was again mediocre. 53 seconds behind today's fastest on the distance, Johannes Thignes Böö.

- A boom less so it would have been a good competition, says expert Helena Ekholm.

Ponsiluoma best

Samuelsson was over the minute behind today's winner Benedikt Doll, Germany, and finally finished 27th. Two became Tarjei Bö while home runner Quentin Fillon Maillet took third place.

Martin Ponsiluma fired fully into the shooting range, and had a boom in the standing.

- A fall forward, especially the shooter says Helena Ekholm.

Ponsiluma became the best Swedish in 15th place.

The Swedish biathlon men did not get off to a good start to the season. No Swedish top-30 in the total. In Saturday's hunting start, the top-60 starts from today's competition.

A Swedish went on to the hunting start in Hochfilchen, last weekend. From today's competition, all Swedes moved on to Saturday's competition, even though it sat far in front of everyone except Ponsiluma.

For Sunday's mass start, it is a Swedish darkness. No Swedish is qualified for the competition.
