The Liverpool and Monterrey-Mexico match in the Club World Cup semi-finals, currently held in the Qatari capital, Doha, witnessed the presence of a number of former world football stars who were keen to follow the meeting from the booth of the Khalifa International Stadium.

The Supreme Committee for Legacy and Projects responsible for organizing the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar and the International Football Association (FIFA) invited a number of big stars to attend the semi-final and the World Cup final.

The list included many names, most notably the former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, the current England coach, Gareth Southgate, players David Beckham, Michael Owen, Steve Macmanman, Yaya Toure, Tim Cahill, John Barnes, Jason Macater, Yuri and Jorkaev, Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar and his compatriot Cafu.

The Supreme Committee for Legacy and Projects has been keen on organizing field tours for a number of stars in the World Cup stadiums to find out the latest equipment in Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup.

Qatar has hosted the Club World Cup since December 11th, and the tournament ends with the final confrontation between Liverpool and Brazil's Flamingo on Saturday.
