The first goal came already in the twelfth minute, when Levin Öztunali played nicely to Quaison, who at the penalty area line finished deliciously on a strike up the net ceiling for 1–0.
His second goal, which included 3-0, came seven minutes later. Werder Bremen's Ludwig Augustinsson was below the other back line and lifted Quaison's offside. Quaison then came free, and safely put 3-0.
