[Full message] Swimmer Ikee Ryoko is discharged on December 17 at 18:22

It was revealed that the swimmer Ikee Yukako, who had been treating leukemia at a hospital in Tokyo, was discharged from his official website. Full text of Ikee's handwritten message.

I have been hospitalized since February, and after about 10 months, I was able to leave the hospital.

It was a painful and long day, but after seeing the message of encouragement from everyone, I was strongly eager to return. I am grateful to the people who supported me, the people involved, and my family.

During my hospital stay, I felt nauseous and frustrated with anticancer drug treatment, but at that time, anyway, I continued to encourage myself, "Okay, okay, someday."

While I was preparing for the Olympics, I think that some of you suddenly left your favorite pool and thought that you lost many things. There was really a lot. There were times when I became negative thinking, but first I felt that I had to have my own feelings.

Future competition activities will start as soon as possible underwater training while consulting with doctors. Until then, we plan to do onshore training with basic physical strength. Regarding the Olympics, I would like to do my best with the goal of participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics and winning medals.

From now on, we look forward to your continual support.
