Just a win at the last seven meetings. It was Vancouver's result against Vegas when the Canadians slipped on the ice in the Las Vegas arena.

And this time it didn't happen either. The home team took the lead after just over two minutes of play. Elias Pettersson acknowledged barely two minutes later, by throwing himself forward and making his own return.

But then it was most Vegas that had acquired a 4-1 lead for the third period, a lead that never really ended up in danger.

Jacob Markström got off to a start for Vancouver for the second consecutive match. However, he had to leave the ice after dropping his fifth goal of the evening in the middle of the third period.

The match finally ended with 6-3.

Chicago defeated Minnesota by 5-3. Swedish assists were entered in the minutes by Chicago players Alexander Nylander's eighth for the season, and Erik Gustafsson's tenth. Minnesota's Eric Saal scored a consolation goal for Minnesota, his one thousand NHL points.
