Today the weather was much better and the one who managed the first race very best was home runner Alexis Pinturault who walked in time 52.85 seconds. Many of the top riders had big problems when Clement Noel went out and Henrik Kristoffersen was 2.82 after the skis released at the end of the ride.

André Myhrer made a strong first year. He is 88th after Pinturault in third place. Myhrer has only 16 hundredths up to Ramon Zenhäusern who is second.

- Well done, it was a real fighting year by André (Myhrer). He is investing well and that is why he is doing so well. Had he had better flow he could have taken a few tenths more. A good starting point for the second race, says SVT Sports expert Tobias Hellman.

New good ride

Kristoffer Jakobsen, who struck out with a personal best in the slalom premiere in Levi, struck with a new strong ride.

In front of the second ride is in eleventh place as he is 1.33 seconds after Pinturault.

The second ride in Val d'Isère starts at 12.30 which is broadcast in SVT 1 and on SVT Play.
