Memphis Depay was injured in Ligue 1 on Sunday in a 0-1 defeat by Olympique Lyon against Stade Rennes. In the Serie A, Juventus and substitute Matthijs de Ligt recorded a 3-1 win over Udinese.
Memphis remained in the dressing room in the tranquility of Lyon-Rennes. The Orange International got quite a few taps in the first half and could not continue.

In Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first two goals for Juventus against Udinese. After nine minutes the Portuguese opened the score with a long shot and twenty minutes later he doubled the lead after he got the ball in the course of Gonzalo Higuaín.

Gladbach loses lead by defeat
In the Bundesliga, Borussia Mönchengladbach lost the lead by a 2-1 defeat at VfL Wolfsburg. Xaver Schlager gave the home team the lead in the thirteenth minute with a nice shot in the top corner. Two minutes later, Breel Embolo restored the balance with a nice volley.
The game seemed to end in a draw, but in injury time, Maximilian Arnold gave the home team the win with a volley. Wout Weghorst played the entire game at Wolfsburg, where Jeffrey Bruma stayed on the couch.
With the loss, Gladbach forfeits the lead to RB Leipzig, which won 0-3 on Saturday at Fortuna Düsseldorf. Leipzig has two points more than number two Gladbach. Wolfsburg is in eighth place.
