Frida Karlsson competed in the world cup premiere in Ruka, Finland, December 1st.

Four days later she was stopped from competing in the Norwegian Lillehammer. And on Monday (Dec. 9), the ski association announced that the 20-year-old did not live up to the health requirements and was stopped from all competition indefinitely.

- When we see that there is a limit that you cross, we take action immediately. Then we ensure that she can come back and balance nutritionally, says Strömberg to SVT Sport.

SVT Sports sources say there have been warning signals about Karlsson's health during the fall, but Strömberg does not want to comment.

According to national team physician Magnus Oscarsson, all riders undergo an annual health check, individualized checks are then made during the season.

- If we suspect that someone is close to the border, we put in individual resources. Health is number one, says Strömberg.
