According to the Japan Football Association, the proposals will be held at 8 stadiums from Hokkaido to Kansai, including the Tokyo National Stadium, Sapporo Dome, and the Kyoto Stadium to be completed next year, and will be the campgrounds for each team. 42 candidate sites from Hokkaido to Okinawa were included.

The schedule is from June to July in consideration of the heat.

“We would like to explode women's football with next year's Olympics, next year's women's league professionalization, and the hosting of the World Cup,” said Japan Football Association President Kozo Tajima.

The venue for the 2023 Women's World Cup is scheduled for May next year.
