There was drama in the final Europa League round. Malmö FF met rival FC Copenhagen on away ground. In advance, most people thought that Malmö needed to win given that Dynamo Kiev met the last Lugano at home.

Malmö started off nicely but got into the match the longer the half went. Despite that, the big goal chances were missing and at half time it was aimlessly 0-0. But just before the break, Malmö still got a dream message as Lugano took the lead with 1-0 in the 45th match minute through Marco Aratore.

The second half was characterized by a stand-out war with few goals. But in the 77th match minute, Malmö took the lead by 1-0. That after Arnór Ingvi Traustason nodded the lead from a post that was headed in by the Swedish FCK-back Sotirios Papagiannopoulos.

With five minutes left of the match, FC Copenhagen got the ball - but FCK was blown off offside.

Traustason's goal became the final of the match and that means Malmö wins the group and eliminates several big teams in the 16th finals.

Copenhagen went on as a group two because Dynamo Kiev only got 1-1 against Lugano.
