Ricky van Wolfswinkel made his comeback on Wednesday at the FC Basel training field. The Dutchman was operated on in August for a brain disorder and has since been out of circulation.
Basel reports on Wednesday on Twitter that Van Wolfswinkel has trained with the ball for the first time. According to the Swiss club, it is still "strictly forbidden" for the thirty-year-old striker to fight physical duels or head balls.
At Van Wolfswinkel an aneurysm in his brain was detected in August - that is a bulge in a blood vessel that could lead to a brain haemorrhage. He had to go under the knife and could not take action for about six months.
Ricky van Wolfswinkel class heute zum ersten Mal nach dem Eingriff im August wieder auf dem Platz. Ricky can wieder with the train, Körperkontakte or Kopfbälle since jedoch weiterhin strictly untersagt. # FCBasel1893 # zämmestark #rotblauliveAvatar
