Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp praised his player Mohamed Salah after he showed his confidence in himself, after wasting a set of opportunities, and he managed to score from a narrow angle to lead the title holder to qualify for the round of 16 in the Champions League.

Liverpool beat Salzburg 2-0 to lead Group 5, where midfielder Nabi Keita opened the scoring before Salah added the second goal with his right foot despite the ball being shot from a narrow angle.

Klopp said: "He played brilliantly but he did not score in the situations that we would normally expect him to score, but he continued his path and scored from a very decisive and difficult touch."

"Maintaining focus and confidence at the next moment was amazing," the German coach added. "This is a very difficult goal but a great touch."

This is the 11th goal for Salah with Liverpool this season and the Egyptian player raised his score to 20 goals with the club in the Champions League.
