Erika Grahm left Modo for Brynäs for last year's season where she was promised a role within the club. After last year's season, Brynäs chose to make her the woman manager at the club. A role that 29-year-old Grahm had difficulty adapting to.

- This role became new to me during the fall. In the past, I have made all the decisions in life based on being a good hockey player. Now I work a lot and have a completely different everyday life, she says and continues:

- My way of thinking is that I should continue to be that super professional hockey player while being a high-performance women's manager. Initially this fall it was 08-20 every day here in the arena.

"My hockey game has hit"

Among other things, she is responsible for player recruitment and has helped Brynäs become a powerful team this year. But it has taken its toll.

- I love my job and I love playing hockey. I think I went into the rush of it because it was so much fun. It must have been a tough autumn. What unfortunately gets hit is my hockey game, where you immediately see if I do not deliver because I am tired and tired.

After being one of the main characters in the autumn's conflict with the union, she chose to say no to the women's first national matches this season.

- I may not have had the same joy out there just because it was tough. I feel that I do not have the strength and the drive to go and play for the national team right now. It's all about being naive, a little young and stupid. I've started to find a better balance and more routine over the weeks now.

- It was not an easy decision not to go with the national team but I felt that I did not do any justice to go with and not be able to give a hundred. My hope is that I will be able to take some time off now with Christmas and such to be able to reload and be selected in the national team again in February.
