Anthony Davis, who came to Los Angeles for this season, has proven to be just the playmate that superstar LeBron James needed. The duo has shown great chemistry both on and off the basketball court.

The Lakers, who last year missed the playoffs, have now won 20 of the season's 23 first matches. Tonight came the 11th straight away victory which is a tangled club record.

Davis scored 39 points and James was noted for 31. Already at halftime, the team had scored 77 points, which is what most Lakers have done in the same half since February 1997 against Washington.

A nice sequence from the match that spread on social media was when LeBron James backed off the sidelines on one long side and happened to push a female salesman over.

James helped her up, hugged her for a few seconds and they were seen exchanging a few words. The crowd reacted with cheers and the woman raised her hands in the air with a big smile on her lips.
