It was smooth, it was high tempo and there was a lot of emotion. The rivalry between the hockeyall Swedish top teams Björklöven and Modo had the most.

And unlike the previous meeting between the teams, Björklöven stood as a winner, 4–3.

The home team from Umeå took the lead through Alexander Wiklund after 14.27, but at the beginning of the second period it looked different. By then Modo had taken over the clock after goals by Kalle Jellvert and Max Wahlgren.

But it was Björklöven's day. Before the middle period was over, Oliver Larsen had signed, followed by a lead goal signed by Sebastian Selin just over a minute later.

With just over six minutes left, Modo got the chance in powerplay and lined up chances against Björklöven's goal. In the end, it yielded results. Adam Tambellini fired a wrist shot from the blue line that headed into goal behind goalkeeper Joe Cannata, who was obscured by traffic in front of goal.

Punished Modo

The even match came to a head - fittingly enough - in a penalty. There, Björklöven's Alexander Deilert stepped forward and put the decisive puck into the net.

- It's nice that we win in front of this amazing audience. Big deal to Modo as well, it's a great match, says Alexander Deilert to C More.

Björklöven tops the hockeyall Swedish table at 64 points. Modo, who has three straight losses, is four with 54 points.

- We are not happy with just one. We are striving forward and want to get better, says Deilert.
