But the victory was hard. A quick blow in the final minutes of the third period saved Brynäs and literally blew the Smålands team to victory.

Because when there was only 1.48 left of the third period, Växjöcentern Emil Pettersson sent the puck between the legs of Samuel Ersson. The Brynäs goalkeeper thought he had a firm grip on the puck and so did the referee who blew the game despite the puck sliding down towards and above the goal line.

- In three games we have taken seven points and Micke Andersson is striking two today, says Sam Hallam to C More. We are not good today, but the trump is a judge's decision. In this case, the question is: will Micke Andersson judge more in a while?

- It's that simple, it's not a hook or not. A judge who decides a hockey game that way. A man who decides the end of the match. Brutally bad and I am incredibly disappointed with it.

Sour for Växjö, but lucky for the home team who then decided during a pending expulsion.

Found right

A fitting end to the game for Brynäs who, after a heavy season introduction - just three goals in power play the first twelve series matches - has now found the right form of play with a total of twelve power play goals during the last twelve matches.

On Saturday, Brynäs made two hits in power play during the first period, which offered, to say the least, speedy ice hockey and four goals in the course of six minutes and 41 seconds.

It hadn't even been two minutes when Brynäs got a five-for-three over to be donated by Växjö and went all in with five forwards. A smart move that paid off already after 14 seconds when Greg Scott scored 1-0 with a distinct power play goal, his third so far this fall.

Shortly thereafter, when the guests got their first power play, it took just 24 seconds before Växjö Forward Marcus Davidsson stayed ahead and steered a direct shot from Miika Koivisto to 1-1.

A goal less than two minutes later was followed by a real invitation from Brynäs.

Slowed down

The Gävlel team had another power play and went for a new management goal but drilled with the puck in the offensive zone, which resulted in a game turn that ended with goals in numerical sub-position for the Växjö - Smålands' fourth for the season in that form.

But, as I said, it swung quickly in the first period and just over a minute after the Brynäs blunder, Jaedon Descheneau scored 2-2 when he set the puck high at the first post.

The goalscale slowed down in the following two periods, with Linus Högberg increasing to 3-2 in the middle and Emil Molin acknowledging 3-3 in the middle of the third.

Then came that quick blow, completely according to the rules but maybe with a little lack of fingertip from the referee and the match instead had to be decided in the extension where Emil Forslund shot home the bonus point after 2.55.
