SVT Sport is selected from 61 nominations where five went to the final. The other finalists are Botkyrkabyggen, Hedemora Municipality, Municipal and Region Värmland. The aim of the Swedish Equality Prize is to contribute to a more equal and sustainable society.
- We are extremely happy to be included in the Swedish Equal Rights Prize's top 5 list, but as the competition people we are, we would prefer to be at the top of the prize podium. So we continue to work hard and actively with this, one of the most important things we have done as sports journalists, so we hope to be the winner in February. But regardless, we are all already winners on an equal footing sports watch, both SVT Sport as an editor and our entire large audience who take part in what we produce and broadcast every day, says Åsa Edlund Jönsson.
