ROME (Reuters) - Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has decided to return to Serie A and play for Milan on a six-month contract, Italian media reports said on Saturday. Ibrahimovic hinted that he would play "with a club that needs to return to victories and renew its history, and is in the process of looking for a battle against everyone."

"It's the only way I will be able to find the motivation to surprise you again," he said. "It's not just about choosing a team.

"I like to make the difference," said Paris Saint-Germain and former Manchester United striker. "I don't want to do some things right, but everything."

Ibra has previously played for the big three clubs Milan, Inter and Juventus, and concluded by telling the site «GQ Italy»: «See you soon in Italy».

Ibrahimovic, 38, announced his departure from Los Angeles last month following the club's elimination from the knockout stages. Milan is a favorite destination for Ibra, according to (Football Italy), especially since he has strong relations with him, in addition to the fact that Milan is in desperate need of services, as it occupies the 11th position in the «Seri A».

Other reports have suggested that last season's runners-up Napoli are a potential destination, with the southern club in seventh place after six straight games without a win, but Ibra favors Milan.

Ibrahimovic played for Milan between 2010 and 2012 and led the team to their last Serie A title in 2011, scoring 42 goals in 61 Serie A games during these two seasons. He won three league titles with Inter (2007, 2008, 2009) and twice with Juventus (2005, 2006), which were disqualified after the match-fixing scandal "Calciooli" in 2006.
