“The task is to pour more dirt on me”: the suspect in beating the hockey player Kondratyev intends to sue Amur

In the case of the beating of the captain of the KHL Amur team Maxim Kondratyev, new details have appeared that make one doubt the original version of what happened. Alexei Markov, detained on suspicion of assault, said that the hockey player himself became the instigator of the brawl.

According to Khabarovsk, on the night of December 1, he was sitting in a car next to a city cafe waiting for his wife. Another car was parked tightly to it, the driver of which was Kondratyev’s wife. Opening the door, one of the passengers touched Markov’s vehicle.

Instead of apologizing, the woman began to insult him. Two more Amur hockey players, brothers Vyacheslav and Vladislav Ushenins, who were with Kondratiev, tried to drag her away. At this point, Markov got out of the car, but, according to the man, the Amur defender immediately attacked him. However, the athlete could not maintain his balance and fell.

Markov emphasized that he allegedly tried to provide first aid to Kondratiev before the doctors arrived and left the scene of the incident only after he was convinced that nothing threatened the life of the hockey player.

He suggested that all the participants in the brawl were drunk, which, according to him, witnesses can confirm. At the same time, Markov complained that few believe in his version, because Kondratiev is a well-known hockey player, and also expressed doubt that all eyewitnesses were interviewed.

In addition, the man denied the information that he had previously been convicted. He intends to assert his innocence - to file a lawsuit against Amur, as well as request a second forensic medical examination.

“In the morning I wake up and collect evidence of my innocence. On all the recordings of the shooting, it is clear that he is attacking me. I made one attempt to calm him, pushed him again, dodged him. Maxim is a good guy, God bless him. I am very sorry that this happened. Whoever the man is, you must not attack! This is immoral! ”- Markov told Sport-Express.

Amur immediately commented on the accused’s version. According to representatives of the team, in a similar way, Markov is trying to put pressure on the investigation.

“We have no doubt that the investigation of the criminal case will be objective and will answer all questions. At the moment, we are more concerned about Maxim’s state of health and his recovery, ”the club noted.

On December 1, the press service of the Khabarovsk team issued a statement informing that the captain of the team was attacked in the parking lot at one of the city cafes. He defended his wife and received a blow to the head, after which he was forced to seek the help of doctors.

“Now Maxim is being observed in one of the regional hospitals, he is being provided with qualified medical assistance. He is conscious, his condition is assessed as moderate. The player’s wife was not affected in the incident. The Amur hockey club provides the player with all the necessary support, ”the text says on the official website of Khabarovsk.

It is noted that the attacker had previously allegedly been prosecuted. However, Markov himself states that these data are not true.

“Now I am doing business. We do not judge, and this is exactly what is indicated in the interrogation protocol. The club’s task is to pour as much dirt on me as possible, ”Markov said.

The next day, police detained the man, but after interrogation he was released. According to him, this happened thanks to the video at his disposal, which can shed light on what happened. It allegedly captures not only a brawl, but also how Kondratyev, his wife and Ushenins behaved in a cafe.

Two days later, some media reported that a forensic examination revealed a traumatic brain injury in Kondratiev, a linear fracture of the right parietal and temporal bones, as well as an intracerebral hematoma. Based on this, a criminal case was initiated under the article “Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm”. At the same time, Markov doubts the veracity of the diagnosis.

“He is awake, walking. By the way, the video clearly shows that the blanket on which the hockey player was lying, until an ambulance arrived, clean, without traces of blood. And you won’t erase any traces of blood on the pavement, but the expert didn’t find anything, ”Aif Khabarovsk quoted Markov as saying.
