Frölunda is the most successful CHL club. They have won three of the tournament's five editions, and are reigning champions.

But tonight, for a long time, it looked like it would be really tough to reach the semi-finals. After Marc-AntoinePouliot already made 52 seconds in the third period 3-0 to the Swiss guests, it looked very dark

But Frölunda, who during a large part of the game had a takeover and shot plenty of shots against former NHL goalkeeper Jonas Hiller in the Biel goal, managed to arrange a slightly better starting position for the return than that.

First, after 50.52, through Nicklas Lasu. And then - just over two minutes later - through a distinct wrist shot by Joel Mustonen.

- I was just trying to surprise the goalkeeper with a quick shot, and it worked, says Mustonen to SVT Sport.

"Not as hard"

Thus, Frölunda's inferiority is only a goal prior to the return in Switzerland. A starting point that the Frölunda camp is happy with. Especially considering that they already faced a disadvantage in the eighth final against Färjestad (3–6).

- Just being under with one goal does not feel as hard as being under with three as we did for a while. So it is still positive to only lie with one, says trainer Roger Rönnberg.

Joel Mustonen is on the same track.

- It's tough to lie down, but we showed in the last round that we can turn the downside. Compared to 3-6, this is nothing, he says.
