LONDON (Reuters) - Three out of five continents have voted for Barcelona captain Lionel Messi to win the sixth Golden Ball of his career, beating Liverpool defender Virgil van Dyke and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

A closer look at the details of these figures shows that none of these continents voted for Ronaldo, while the Dutch defender snatched first place in Europe and Asia, and the Bulga won first place in the rest of the continents.

In Europe:

1- Van Dyke (231 points)

Messi (194 points)

3.Ronaldo (151)

In Africa:

Messi (187 points)

2- Sadio Mane of Senegal (170 points)

3.Van Dyke (154 points)

In South America:

1.Macy (47)

2- Van Dyck (39)

3.Ronaldo (34)

In Asia:

3.Ronaldo (100)

In North America and the Caribbean:

Oddly enough, Van Dyke was ranked 69th in the 61st place for Messi, while Ronaldo and Manny were 17th and fourth respectively.

Messi defeated Mani and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in their home continent, while he won in the Americas.

Kilian Mbappe was chosen three times in the first place, but the representative of France gave his vote in the first place for Mani.

Sri Lanka's selection of Liverpool-backed Alexandre Arnold was at the top, while Ivory Coast and Guatemala chose Brazilian goalkeeper Alison Baker, and, surprisingly, Brazil did not pick him in the top five.

The Spanish journalist gave his voice to Van Dyck and then Ronaldo and Messi respectively. The representative of Finland also voted for Ajax striker Doosan Datish in fourth place and South Korean Hyung Song Min.

Turkmenistan gave their representative second place to Barcelona midfielder Franky de Jong and third to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
