The Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 1 of Vera (Almería) has agreed to continue the criminal proceedings opened in June 2017 against soccer players Santi Mina and David Goldar , who are indictedly accused of sexually assaulting a young woman in Mojácar .

The judge has decided to issue an order to initiate proceedings, dated November 22, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, after terminating the investigation phase of the case and concluding that there are sufficient indications for both to go to trial, as they have confirmed to Europa Press judicial sources.

Mina, who currently plays in the First Division in the ranks of RC Celta , was arrested in June 2017 in the municipality of Mojácar after the victim denounced before the Civil Guard that had subjected him to touches.

Specifically, he reported that the alleged sexual assault occurred when they were in a caravan with a friend of the striker , the footballer David Goldar, with whom he had spent the night in a local drinks and also investigated the cause. Goldar is currently active in the Gimnàstic de Tarragona .

The young woman also affirmed that the attacker of Vigo had entered the vehicle naked and that he had tried to have sexual relations with her , which, finally, did not occur.

After the arrest took place in June 2017 and the subsequent transition to judicial disposition, from the Celtic player's environment they confirmed the truth of the matter, but assured that there has been "an exaggerated version" of the facts by the young woman who denounced.
