Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson, Charlotte Kalla and Stina Nilsson sniffed the favorite Norway on the gold in Austrian Seefeld by Stina Nilsson on the last stretch managed to hang on Therese Johaug and then pass her on the inside for the sprint.

Rider Ebba Andersson agrees with Stina Nilsson that the performance was a feat given the conditions for the race - that the preparations were not optimal.

- I was not in the shape I had shown earlier because of health problems, Frida would run a relay in senior contexts for the first time during a championship, Charlotte had also worn some with the form and Stina also had some question marks with regard to her injury (before the World Cup), says Andersson.

For Stina Nilsson, the second relay gold was in the World Cup after the gold in sprint relay together with Maja Dahlqvist.

- It is very honorable to be in the discussions, it has been an incredibly strong sport year, says Nilsson.

What may speak against the relay team is that the Sochi Olympic gold team was rewarded with the gold medal in 2014. Charlotte Kalla is the only one in the quartet who was also there.

Dominant in two sports

On Tuesday, Svenska Dagbladet awards its achievement medal, better known as the achievement gold, to the athlete or athletes who have made the best Swedish sports performance in the past year. Many times the prize goes to athletes who have had a successful success.

The favorite team definitely belongs to Tove Alexandersson who is totally dominated in two sports - orienteering and ski orientation.

She has taken five World Cup gold this year, three in orientation and two with skis. Alexandersson also took home the World Cup in orientation for the sixth consecutive year after winning eight of nine competitions. She also won all five stages in the O-ring with a victory margin of 30 minutes.

The 27-year-old has been involved in the gold mediocre discussions for the past three years and may become the second informant to receive the gold medal after Annichen Kringstad 1981.

Ståhl met expectations

The most prominent candidate on the men's side is probably Daniel Ståhl after his World Cup gold in the discus. He dominated the discourse this summer, winning the Diamond League final before going to the World Cup in Doha and meeting expectations with a gold rush of 67.59 meters.
