The Montreal Canadiens are the NHL's most successful club, with a full 24 Stanley Cup titles on the track record.

However, they have not won the NHL playoffs in 26 years, and it does not look like there will be any new title this season.

Worst since 1940

Right now they are the worst in the entire league, and tonight they went on the team's eighth straight loss when they lost 1-3 to the Boston Bruins. They haven't had a worse suite since 1940.

- We have to win. We have to find a way to win. It's not good enough. We have improved defensively, but we are not winning. What it is ultimately about is getting the winnings and getting two points. And that's not happening right now, "says Shea Weber, according to the club's website.

Boston leads the league

However, many of the players and leaders were satisfied with a great deal. Boston is currently leading the entire NHL and is not a team so many expect Montreal to beat right now - even though they scored the game's first goal.

- We did things right during most of the match. But we let their most dangerous players get past our slopes, and two seconds later it was a draw. Then they got a powerplay and took the lead. It's so fast it swings, says Ben Chiarot.

Pastrnak in fine shape

The receipt was made by the former Södertälje player, Czech David Pastrnak. The goal was his 25 in his last 27 matches. In 27 games no player in the team has done since Phil Esposito. He tops the league's goals right now, four goals ahead of Washington's Alexander Ovetjkin.

"He is arguably the best player in the league right now," coach Bruce Cassidy said after the match.
