Immediately after Sweden's match against Romania in the European Championship qualifiers, a match where Isak, among other things, suffered aplomb, his club Real Sociedad went out and condemned it.
“Real Sociedad condemns the racist cries that Alexander Isak received yesterday. We deeply regret that such attitudes from the past still exist rather than being completely forgotten, ”the Spanish club wrote in an official statement.
And this is how the club wrote on its website for the match today:
"Due to what happened to our player Alexander Isak two weeks ago in Romania and with the determined will to create a healthier and more respectful society that reflects the values of our time, a fight against racism will be created before the match against SD Eibar on Saturday ".
And the promise became reality. Before the match, two banners were developed in support of Alexander Isak.
"Stop racism" on one and "Love Football hate racism" on the other.
The match is ongoing .
