Philadelphia outscored Detroit by 6-1. The victory is the East Coast team's third straight, but solidifies Detroit's role as a jumbo in the NHL table.

With ten goals scored, Lindblom is Philadelphia's best goalscorer so far this season. Against Detroit, he popped in 5-1 at the start of the third period, perhaps a little lucky in a chaotic situation in front of the cage.

Robert Hägg then got an assist when James van Riemsdyk determined the final score at the end of the third.

The Detroit Red Wings have thus lost eight games in a row, and have scored the most points in the entire NHL.

"Goalofsson" struck 4-2

Linus Ullmark got sweaty in the Buffalo goal against Toronto. The Canadians led half the match, before the home team could level and begin to take command in the middle of others. At the end of the period, Victor Olofsson gave reasons for his new nickname "Goalofsson" when he hit 4-2.

But it didn't end there. After two more goals for each team in the third, the match ended 6–4.

Three straight wins for Toronto

Ullmark saved 25 shots in the meeting, which became Sheldon Keefe's first loss. Keefe took over as coach since Toronto went on six losses in a row, and has since recorded three straight wins.

Colorado did well without injured André Burakovsky, and defeated Chicago by 5-2. Chicago can take comfort in the fact that Patrick Kane, with his 13th goal of the season, has picked up 14 games in a row - the strongest in the entire league.
