Formula One driver Valtieri Botas has agreed with his wife, former swimming champion Emilia Botas, to divorce.
"Our path has become divided because of the challenges I face in my career and the repercussions on the living situation," Botas tweeted on Thursday.
"We see this as the best for us and our future, so we will be separated as friends.
Emiya Botas, a former butterfly swimmer, took part in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, with her original name Picarainen.
The pair began dating in 2010, three years before Potash's debut in Formula One.
On Sunday, Botas will compete in the 21st Formula One World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
