The partnership aims to give the European Tour both a more complete competition schedule and larger prize sums. The idea is also that the players who are the best on the European Tour should be able to reach the LPGA tour that way.
The players themselves supported the partnership in a vote during the European Tour's annual membership meeting in connection with this week's competition in Spain.
