Robin Olsen was ejected after a big fight when his Cagliari played 2-2 against Lecce in Serie A.

The league responded by turning off the Swedish national team goalkeeper year out.

Now Cagliari announces that they will appeal the verdict with the hope of bringing the suspension down from four to two matches. It writes the Football Channel with reference to the Italian media Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport.

Have apologized

It was in connection with Lecce reduced to 1-2 on penalties that a hot-headed Olsen and the opposing team's Gianluca Lapadula ended up in the hatch on each other. Both were given a red card for the offense.

Olsen has apologized via social media for his behavior, and both he and Lapadula will be fined EUR 10,000, equivalent to approximately SEK 100,000.
