Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has included Matthijs de Ligt and Cristiano Ronaldo in his selection for the Champions League duel with Atlético Madrid on Tuesday evening.

Twenty-year-old De Ligt was a question mark for Juventus' fifth group match, as he left a dislocated shoulder to the competition match with Atalanta on Saturday (1-3 win).

The former Ajax player did not train on Sunday with the selection of the champion of Italy. Sarri said on Monday at his press conference that De Ligt had to undergo some extra investigations. This has shown that he is fit enough to be in the selection.

Ronaldo did not participate in the game against Atalanta due to minor complaints. He was already present at the training on Sunday and can play against Atlético.

Juventus is already certain of a place in the knockout phase of the Champions League. Atlético also qualified for the eighth finals with a victory in Turin on Tuesday. The game starts at 9 p.m.
