After a lengthy interview with former national teammate Mathias Fredriksson, the union director Ola Strömberg was able to respond to the criticism that has been directed at the union after the messy time where leader duo Rikard Grip and Johan Peterson were allowed to leave.

- All of them have the changes that have happened are nothing we wanted. As the situation evolved, we had to make some decisions, Strömberg said in today's Winter Studio broadcast.

The union's official communication about Rikard Grip was that the national team manager had voluntarily left the national team, but SVT Sport could today, through the length expert Mathias Fredriksson, confirm the previous information that Grip had been fired from his position.

"From a journalistic perspective, I understand that you want to find out everything about this issue, but we cannot emphasize exactly everything on this issue out of respect for the individuals involved," said Strömberg's associate director.

"The final phase of the recruitment process by a length manager"

But Strömberg also expressed dissatisfaction with the former leaders.

- In retrospect we would have been even clearer and handled the coaches so that they had made different decisions. But there you still expect leaders who come in to have the capacity to make decisions that get people to follow them, and that's what didn't really work in all situations, Strömberg said.

According to the union director, who is now acting as the interim head of division, a head of length will come in shortly.

- We are the final phase of the recruitment process by a longitudinal manager. We evaluate 4, 5, 6 candidates who must have a strong strategic spirit and routine and be able to focus on the sporting development, Strömberg concludes.
