When Finland landed, a celebration was awaited with the supporters at Medborgartorget in central Helsinki.

- It feels very important that we celebrate this. Last Friday we saw how much it means for Finnish football. It will be fun to have a last night with the team before we go back to our club team, says Teemu Pukki to Yle.

The players danced the classic Finnish dance "letkajenkka" on the aircraft and it was not appreciated by the pilot who threatened to land in the Latvian capital Riga instead of Helsinki.

- I have been told that some on the plane do not follow the instructions. Right now we cannot continue our preparations for the landing and if we cannot land within a certain period then we must go elsewhere, the pilot should have said according to Iltalehti.
