Floyd Mayweather is not going to return to the ring yet. The 42-year-old boxing champion has finished the sport and wants to focus on other things.

"I have received phone calls to return, but my health is paramount. Boxing is a very, very intense sport. In recent years, many fighters have died in the ring," Mayweather told Reuters news agency .

The American's last official fight dates from the end of 2017. At the time, he settled in the boxing ring with MMA fighter Conor McGregor and reportedly received around $ 275 million, equivalent to nearly $ 250,000.

For the confrontation with the Irishman, Mayweather, who won all his fifty official fights, came out of retirement. A year ago, he faced kick boxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan, but that was a demonstration match. A new official fight does not seem to be in it anymore.

In May 2015, Mayweather faced Manny Pacquiao in the 'fight of the century'. He defeated the Philippines on points and, just like with his victory over McGregor, earned a considerable amount: around 100 million euros.
