15-year-old Emelie Fast was totally superior to the junior SM finals of 50 meters breast on the new personal record 30.56. In addition, the time is below the qualifying limit for the short course European Championships in Glasgow in early December.

- She was very pleased with her race but also surprised by the time. It didn't feel like it was going so fast, says trainer Johan Ekberg to SVT Sport.

Fast is thus the sixth fastest through time in Sweden in the distance. Sophie Hansson has the Swedish record of 29.77.

The Södertörn Swimmer was not allowed to participate in the European Championships two years ago as the limit for participating in the Senior Championship is 14 years. But this time, age is not a problem - the squad for the European Championships is presented on Sunday.

Ekberg says that Fast has taken great strides in training over the past year and was happy after today's message.

- She thought it was great fun, and that she qualified for the European Championships which was the big goal of this season.
