The dimensions of the new version of the SUV are practically the same as it already had, although its wheelbase is somewhat larger (it grows about three centimeters). This has affected habitability, although it gives the feeling that it has had a greater impact on the capacity of the trunk than on passenger space. This one is more capable than that of its rivals (it has 580 liters of capacity for the 497 of a Honda CR-V) and also has a low loading edge that helps the placement of large packages in it.

Accessibility to the rear seats is better than the front ones, where you have to lean forward to avoid hitting the head with the door arch. Especially if one is not very tall and has the seat adjusted in length in middle or forward positions. Once inside, the seats are wide and hold quite well. Behind there is a good legroom. The driving position is good. The driver has everything at his fingertips and the vision is good. The dashboard has a good design and an attractive technological aspect. The mechanics are new and more powerful than before. The version with front-wheel drive has two engines, one of gasoline, 2.5 liters of displacement, and another electric. The joint power is 218 horses. In the four-wheel drive (the total traction costs 3,000 euros) there is an additional electric motor that moves the rear wheels mainly at the time of starting and causes the combined power to rise to 222 horses . The autonomy in electric mode is less than three kilometers.

The ride comfort is good in terms of suspensions but it is still improved when it comes to accelerating engine noise or long recesses in which the competition with electric motors is lost. It has always been the problem of this hybrid system. As regards the engine response, it is what is expected. And in the city you can save almost 25% of consumption compared to a diesel of similar power. On the road, diesel engines are more sober, with 10% lower consumption.

The behavior is good in normal driving. In the drawing of curves, the two driving wheels are more agile than the four (it has an additional driving program called Trail), in which in the more closed turns it shows a certain tendency of the front axle to want to continue straight. It is an unpleasant sensation, but without major consequences. Good improvement in the feel of the brakes. In short, it is a large SUV with ECO label and citizen vocation . With two subjects to improve: engine noise (notable on the road) and the peculiarities in its behavior.
