The World Cup in Russia became a millionth success. With the result against Romania at the National Stadium in Bucharest, Swedish football has every reason to cheer - again.

Sweden's secured European Championships mean that the Swedish Football Association receives EUR 9.25 million, about SEK 100 million. That is a huge amount of money that the European Football Association Uefa distributes to all 24 qualified nations.

Eighth part gives another 21 million

If the national team Janne Andersson & Co manages to move on from the group stage - just as the national team did in Russia, where Sweden's adventure ended with the loss in the quarter-finals against England in Samara, further pauses at the checkout.

Each victory and a draw in the group play increases on the prize money and if the playoffs - which are spread over twelve different host cities - continue longer than expected the following money: eighth finals gives 21 million, quarterfinals 35, semifinal 54, final loss 75 and a gold medal means 107 million SEK.
