Finland is the only Nordic nation whose national football team has never played the World Cup or European Championship. But after a successful qualification, you are now just a hair moan from being cured of the sad suite.

You meet Liechtenstein at home in Helsinki and if you win that match, the European Championships are secured.

- That would be the highlight of life. Representing the national team is the biggest thing in football. It is a huge honor to take on the Finnish national team shirt. It would be a dream come true, says Sparv.

Christoffer Herberts, a journalist at Finnish Yle Sport, has closely followed the national team of Markku Kanerva's national team.

- It would be incredibly big. Of course, after a long, long series of failed qualifications, it would be monumentally great to succeed then, he says.

Sparv is currently playing in Danish Midtjylland, but has previously represented, among others, Halmstad BK. The club team career has been successful, but when it has been won championships in the summers he has had to stay home.

- It is clear that I hope that things are going well for Sweden as well. I have a couple of friends in the Swedish national team. But it is clear when you have sat at home on the sofa for a couple of summers and seen that Iceland and Sweden are there so you get a little jealous.
