• Alemany's dismissal. "I don't understand why I should leave Valencia. It hurts"

The president of Valencia, Anil Murthy , and the CEO, Kim Koh , will raise the salary after the departure of Mateu Alemany and will charge a maximum of 2.7 million euros . This is reflected in the third item on the agenda of the general meeting of shareholders that Valencia has convened on December 13 and 14.

So far, the Valencia Statutes that govern the SAD established that no director could receive remuneration for his position . Therefore, so that both leaders can charge for their functions in the club, it is proposed to the shareholders meeting, where Meriton has a large majority, the modification of article 15 of the Statutes to set the maximum amount of compensation that members can receive of the board of directors "that could perform executive functions ". The justification for this modification is supported by the dismissal of Mateu Alemany.

"The executive functions developed to date by Mr. Alemany will be assumed by President Anil Murthy and director Kim Huat Koh, hereinafter executive directors ," explains the club in the report made available to shareholders.

The "contractual links" of Murthy and Khon are "suspended" and, due to their new functions, it is proposed to the board to set as "maximum amount of compensation of executive directors" an amount equivalent to 1.5% of the net amount consolidated of the turnover of the group of the company Valencia CF SAD.

Given that according to the club's own accounts, it is a reference figure of 184.67 million euros, their salaries could be a maximum of 2.7 million euros .

Increasing debt and need for sales

The economic balance that Valencia will present to its shareholders is far from that of a healthy club. The debt carried by the entity is 529 million euros at June 30, 173 million more than when Meriton took the reins and 30 million more than last season.

In addition, the negative working capital is 136 million and, despite the increase in revenues from television and participation in European competitions, the impossibility of balancing the budget without making player sales persists. As of June 30, 2020, the club will have to put on the market players worth at least 39.8 million euros .

CHANGE IN MEDICAL SERVICES

At the request of Celades and the staff

Dr. Pedro López Mateu has not completed two months as coordinator of the medical services of Valencia. The plague of injuries and the discontent of the players has caused that both Celades and several members of the staff have asked López Mateu to stop being the doctor of the first team. The doctor has been removed and Pascual Casañ will return to take charge of the first team's medical area, in collaboration again with Dr. Antonio Maestro .
