The first round of selecting the Japanese representative of the Tokyo Olympics archery was held, and veteran Hiroshi Yamamoto, who won two medals at the Olympics, finished 15th and missed the Tokyo Games.

Yamamoto won the bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, where he first participated, and represents the Japanese archery who won the silver medal at the 2004 Athens tournament, where he participated at the age of 41 at the fifth Olympics.

Although there is no Olympic appearance at the end of the Athens Games, the 57-year-old still continues to compete for the sixth Olympic appearance.

On the 13th, Yamamoto participated in the first round of the Japanese national team at the “Yumenoshima Archery Field” in Tokyo, which is also the venue for the Tokyo Olympics. I couldn't get into the top 12 people in my eyes and missed the Tokyo tournament.

The archery representative from Japan will hold the first screening until the 14th, and eight men and women will advance to the second screening in March next year.

Three men and women will be selected as representatives of Japan at the final screening in April next year.
