A few weeks ago, F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton talked about his goal of becoming more climate smart. Now Formula 1 as an organization has also chosen to go the same way.

By 2030, Formula 1 hopes to be carbon dioxide neutral, and to reach it, together with sustainability experts, stables and sponsors, a plan has been drawn up on how to get there.

The project starts directly and in 2021 a fuel requirement will be introduced, where at least 10% of the F1 cars' fuel must be biofuel. In addition, the aim is to make the events around the race more environmentally friendly by banning disposable plastics and better handling waste.
