Egyptian midfielder Hussein al-Shahat has been diagnosed with a knee bruise that requires treatment for several days.
Al-Shahat was injured during Egypt's 1-0 win over Liberia in a friendly match held in the framework of the preparations of the "Pharaohs", to start the qualifying campaign for the African Nations Cup in Cameroon in 2021.
The Egyptian team doctor, Dr. Mohamed Abul-Ela, in press statements: "Al-Shahat will undergo therapeutic training during his stay with the team in the hope of recovering and joining the team during the current round.
Egypt begin their qualifying campaign against Kenya, before going out against Comoros in the second round of Group 7, which also includes Togo.
